Updated: Jan 28, 2022

Between October 26 and 27, 2021, the 9th conference of the IWA (International Water Association) was held in Bilbao, Spain. The program included current issues and exposed scientific studies and technological developments in the field of odor management and atmospheric emissions. The Conference brought together 160 participants from 19 countries, with TSG as Silver Sponsor. On the first day, the paper "Summary of the legislation on odor around the world" was presented as an introduction, in whose drafting, including the status as of that date in Chile, our Technical Manager Vania Zorich participated. Together with 20 experts from different countries, they put together a very complete and up-to-date summary of the different legislation on odors in the world. Following this, Daniela Caimanque from the Chilean Ministry of the Environment shared "Lessons learned in the development of the first odor standard in Chile", which positioned our country, once again, as a leader in environmental regulation issues in Latin America. . On the second day, the presentations were once again given the topic "Strategy from top to bottom: technology and big data for an odor control master plan" presented by our Deputy General Manager & CIO Cristian Reich. TSG is positioned as an expert in the development of technological tools, with a Dashboard that allows information to be online, raise alarms, predict future critical events, among other valuable features. Finally, we highlight the role assumed by Vania Zorich and Héctor Vergara who made up the Scientific Committee, made up of 77 experts from around the world, who reviewed and filtered the papers exposed and presented at the conference. In summary, a successful and extensive itinerary was completed with outstanding participation in the conference, which allows us to update ourselves on scientific and technological issues, interact with other players in the sector and expand our networks to, in short, continue to provide a world-class service to our customers. customers.
